25th Place Sidewalk Project

Mr. Haring updated the group on the status of the 25th Place Sidewalk Project. Homeowners on the impacted block voted via mail-in ballot and approved the measure with 71 percent voting in favor. The last phase of this process is for the County Board to vote. If the County Board approves the project, County planners will hold a neighborhood construction meeting before construction begins.

In particular, the General Assembly considered three constitutional amendments: an amendment to codify same sex marriage; an amendment to confer a right to privacy under Roe v. Wade; and an amendment to restore voting rights to felons. He also discussed the impact of federal reductions in force on the Arlington County economy.
